Consultation & Planning

We want your garden to be a place where you enjoy spending time every day. To make this happen, at Gaura Garten everything starts with a thorough consultation and careful planning. We take the time to get to know your garden on site, listen carefully and ask: How do you live, what kind of atmosphere do you want, how much maintenance is realistic for you, and what is your budget?

On this basis, we develop a clear concept for your outdoor space. We consider your garden as a whole – from the entrance area through to the patio and lawn, right down to the flowerbeds, privacy screens and lighting. The result is a design that not only looks beautiful in pictures, but works in everyday life.

Our plans in details

Once we’ve got to know you, we’ll plan your garden: analysing sun and shade, sightlines, levels, materials and planting.

This leads to the creation of paths, seating areas and connections. Step by step, a harmonious spatial concept emerges, featuring clean lines, balanced proportions and clearly defined transitions.

We take drainage, irrigation, electricity and maintenance requirements into account from the outset, ensuring a viable overall design.

The Garden planning

The result of this work is your personalised garden plan. The plan view shows all the key elements: patios, paths, lawns, flowerbeds, walls, water features, seating areas and privacy screens. At a glance, you can see how your future garden is laid out, what areas it comprises and how they are connected.

The garden plan makes scale and proportions tangible. You can check whether the seating area is large enough, how far the paths are, and whether the planting areas are the right size. At the same time, the plan forms the basis for a reliable cost estimate and a neat execution: all elements are defined and can be specifically quoted for and implemented.

Planting Plans

Plants are what bring a garden to life. At Gaura Garten, our planting plans combine your preferences with site conditions and ecological requirements.

We select perennials, grasses, shrubs and bulbs to ensure they thrive in the long term and come together to form a harmonious whole.

We always think in terms of the seasons: spring features, summer blooms, autumn colours and winter texture. We combine flowers, foliage and grasses so that your garden remains attractive not just for a few weeks, but all year round. At the same time, we focus on insect-friendly plants and promote biodiversity – for gardens that look beautiful whilst also providing a habitat.

Why it’s worth planning your garden

Careful planning helps you avoid common mistakes, keep costs under control and create a garden that will suit you for years to come. Here’s an overview of the main reasons:

  1. 1

    Define areas

The plan sets out the different areas your garden should have – an entrance area, a seating area, a play area, a gardening area – and how they are connected. This makes the garden varied and clearly structured.

  2. 2

    Arrange elements effectively

Paths, patios, flowerbeds, lawns and water features are arranged in such a way that they are practical whilst creating a harmonious overall effect. Proportions and sizes are easier to assess on a plan than in the garden itself.

  3. 3

    Developing a garden style

The materials, layout and choice of plants determine the character of your garden. Good planning ensures that shapes, colours and textures complement one another – rather than coming together haphazardly, piece by piece.

  4. 4

Clarify the details in good time

Lighting, irrigation, drainage, electrical connections and privacy screens are taken into account at an early stage. This prevents costly rework and ensures that technical and design aspects work in harmony.

  5. 5

    Think long-term

A garden changes and grows alongside you. When planning, we take into account how the garden is likely to develop over the years and ensure there is scope for future adjustments.

  6. 6

    Calculate costs accurately

The garden plan clearly defines all the elements. This provides a solid basis for quotes and helps you allocate your budget where it will have the greatest impact.

3D-Visualisation

With our 3D visualisations, you can see your future garden in 3D before it is built – not just from a bird’s-eye view, but from typical vantage points such as the patio or living room.

Patios, paths, flowerbeds, trees, shrubs, furniture and planters are depicted realistically, allowing you to better assess proportions and overall effect and to compare different options with confidence. Particularly for gardens with changes in level or complex layouts, 3D planning helps you to understand slopes, steps and walls and to make decisions before construction and planting begin.
